We got a new website

Spring 23 Update.

It’s been a while since we posted any updates, and 2023 has been a ride!

We’ve farewelled and welcomed new staff, got a snazzy new website (thanks to WWD), cut close to 2000m worth of frames, met plenty of new faces along the way and now Spring is officially here! Welcome to all our new clients from Queenstown, Arrowtown, Wanaka and beyond.

Our lead times are around 6-8 weeks. No one wants to hear it, but the holiday season is just around the corner and we are about to head into our busy period. If you are thinking of getting something framed, best to bring it in and one of the team can take you through a consult where we advise and assist with how to best frame and protect your artwork.

If you are an artist living in Wanaka, Queenstown, Arrowtown, Cromwell, Hawea, Alexandra or further afield there are some upcoming key dates that will be of interest, including entries to the Wanaka Art Society Labour Weekend Exhibition and the annual Craig’s Aspiring Art Prize.

  • 1st October - Entries Open for the Craig’s Aspiring Art Prize.

  • 2nd October - Entries close for the Wanaka Arts Society Labour Weekend exhibition.

  • 19 - 22 October - Labour Weekend Exhibition.

  • 1st November - Opening night for our third annual group exhibition Solar Return.

  • 22 December - Final day for pick-ups before we close for the holiday season

Unfortunately, price increases continue to impact our industry. We have been advised by our suppliers to expect an up-to 8% increase on materials that will be coming into effect from October 1st. Works already in the system won’t be effected.

Our Framed Wall Maps are an ever popular Christmas or birthday gift, so be sure to get your orders in early as the silly season approaches.

Geographx released a new map this year that has been extremely popular and encapsulates more of the local area. Ranging from Haast, Jackson’s Bay, the Queenstown Lakes and reaches down to Manapouri, it a great map that shows off a lot of the local playground!

Pop in store to view or you can browse the available Geographx layouts online.
