  • No. All our frames are custom made for your artwork, objects or ephemera.

  • Yes, bring your frame in and we can cut new glass to fit. We can also upgrade the glass in frames to offer UV protection.

  • We don’t re-size existing mat boards, but we can cut you a new one, measured to accurately fit your artwork and frame.

  • No, we do not have printing capabilities. We do frequently work with a lot of local print businesses and would happily point you in the right direction:

  • Yes, no, maybe. Unfortunately, not all canvas is made equal so please call in for a consult and we can assess whether it will be possible to stretch your artwork.

  • Not at this stage. Unfortunately we don’t have the studio space or storage to be stretching and selling canvases. We would recommend the following businesses for quality canvas and art supplies:

  • All our maps are designed to be mounted on the wall and viewed as artworks. If you are seeking a localised hiking map you can contact the local Wanaka I-site or DOC office.

  • How long is a piece of string? There are many factors to consider with custom framing and pricing varies depending on your choice of frame, matboard, glass, mounting method, size etc. Pop in with your artwork for a one-on-one consult and one of the team can measure your item to provide an accurate quote.

  • No, we cut all glass by hand and don’t currently have the space / set up to be catering to this. We can recommend some local interior design stores or glass suppliers who may be able to assist.

  • No. All our maps are a vinyl prints, mounted onto panels that we cut and then frame. The panels are a aluminimum composite material and can have sharp edges. The framing covers / protects this, and is also what we attach the hanging hardware to that allows you to hang your finished map on the wall. 

  • No, while we work to conservation standards, we leave this sort of work to those who have been trained specifically to deal with restoration or conservation of artworks. We will happily refer you to a trained conservator or you can find a conservator via the NZ Conservators website.
